Sisters

Some images are repeated so often they risk becoming clichés. Two sisters, light and darkness, the innocent and the shadow — archetypes that have appeared in countless stories before ours. But perhaps they survive because they are not inventions, but reflections of something deeply human. This painting isn't trying to reinvent the story. It simply asks why we still need it.
